Marion Baldwin

Marion Baldwin is the Chief Administrator for the National Center for Community Education (NCCE). Prior to assuming total responsibility for the Center, she managed the national training of all 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC). Ten years ago, she began her work in this field as Director of Community Education for the Little Rock School District (LRSD) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Twice, under her leadership, the LRSD received a federal 21st CCLC grant award.

During her tenure as the administrator of the 21st CCLC program in Little Rock, Marion was selected to participate in the National 21st CCLC Evaluation Colloquium, designed to determine what factors should be considered for evaluation of the program. She also made numerous presentations, nationally and around the state (AR) on behalf of the 21st CCLC program.

Marion is a trained facilitator of the Collaborative Action Team process developed by the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory. This process is used to engage parental and community support in the educational process. She is also a facilitator of diversity training, which she learned at the hand of Dr. Terrence Roberts - one of the Little Rock Nine who integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957.

Marion is a former teacher and was a financial planner with American Express before entering the field of education. She received both her bachelor's degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications and master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas - Little Rock. Marion is a native of St. Lous, Missouri.


Maxine Murray

Maxine Murray joined NCCE in 1996, after 20 years with the Flint Community Schools, serving for 11 years as executive secretary for community education programs and services. Maxine's responsibiilties as Operations Director include human resources management and overall operations of the National Center. She has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from University of Phoenix. She is a member of the National Community Education Association, the Genesee Association of Community and Adult Educators, and the National Association of Executive Secretaries.


Leslie Aguirre
Administrative Assistant

Leslie Aguirre joined NCCE in July of 2005, having most recently served as Executive Assistant for the Afterschool Alliance. Leslie is a graduate of Katharine Gibbs, Inc., and is completing coursework toward a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also serves as an elected member of the LakeVille Community Schools Board of Education, currently holding the office of president of the board.
